A JUCO all-American at Mississippi Gulf Coast College in Perkinston, Miss....teammate of LSU pitcher Roy Corcoran at Miss. Gulf Coast...batted .414 in 1999 with 17 home runs and 72 RBI...named the Region 23 Player of the Year...also received the Rawlings Big Stick award. 

High School
Earned four letters in baseball (third base) and three in football (quarterback) at Broadmoor High in Baton Rouge...teammate of LSU players Ryan Theriot and Ryan Richard at Broadmoor...a four-time all-district and two-time all-state selection in baseball...helped lead the Bucs to the 1998 District 6-4A title.
