Tryouts for the 2026-2027 Canes Baseball Academy Spring season will be held from May 29th to July 1st at our home training facility, Traction Sports - Baton Rouge.

TEAM INFORMATION
The Traction Canes Baseball Academy will field teams from 7u-14u with the strong possibility of multiple teams per age group. During tryouts, players will be evaluated across several skill and athletic performance areas to assess both strengths and development needs. Our coaching staff will build rosters based on performance, positional needs, and team dynamics.

2026-2027 season overview
FALL SCHEDULE
- Off-Season Strength and Conditioning programs will be available for all eligible Canes players from August-December.
- Off-Season throwing programs are available and will begin in October.
- Organizational On-Field Winter Workouts will be held between Halloween and Thanksgiving.
SPRING SCHEDULE
- Teams will practice 2x/week beginning in January and continuing through each team's final tournament. Additional weekend practices will be held in January & February until tournament play begins.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
- Coach Pitch Teams will compete in 8-10 tournaments
- 9u-14u Team will compete in 10-12 tournaments

NOT INCLUDED IN TUITION
- Travel, lodging, and meals for out-of-state tournaments

- A non-refundable deposit is due upon accepting roster spot.
- Payment plans are available.
- If on payment plan, a valid credit card must be kept on file; payments will be automatically drafted on the 1st of every month.
**Please note: Deposits are non-refundable unless a season ending injury occurs (must be verified by a physician). Accepting a roster spot means another player is not selected- please consider this commitment carefully.**
