Traction offers an array of services to meet the complex needs of those we train. Traction Elite Physical Therapy is a comprehensive physical therapy and sports training clinic specializing in the treatment of injuries to athletes of all ages.

Focused on the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of athletes back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, Traction therapists work specifically with athletes, and design plans for optimizing workouts and preventing injury. Our on-site sports therapists address and heal injuries after they occur.

Beau Lowery, PT, DPT, ATC, SCS

Co-owner/Director of Physical Therapy Services

Beau is a native of Seminary, Mississippi. He attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he earned both a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013. He then earned a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in motor behavior from Louisiana State University in 2005.  Beau worked in the athletic department at LSU from 2004-2010. Beau worked at Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic following his time at LSU and started Elite Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in 2011, which transitioned to Traction Elite Physical Therapy in 2014. Beau is currently the Director of Sports Medicine for the New Orleans Saints. Beau is married to Misty Lowery and they have a son, Carter Lowery.

Clinical Experience/Interest: Orthopedic/sports, post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, orthopedic injuries, injury prevention, return to sport testing, and baseball/football throwing mechanics and throwing programs.

Therapeutic Interest: Active Release Techniques Provider, ASTYM Provider, Certified in Dry Needling, Manual/Manipulation Therapy, Blood Flow Restriction rehabilitation, Fusionetics Testing

Credentials: Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist, Athletic Trainer.

Steven Poché, PT, DPT, SCS, ATC

Steven is a native of Baton Rouge and attended Parkview Baptist. After high school he pursued a degree in Athletic Training at Southeastern Louisiana University where he was a member of the baseball team. He then earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University Heath in New Orleans. His wife, Crystal, is also a physical therapist and they enjoy spending time with family, friends, their dog Roux, and enjoying time outdoors. 

Clinical Experience/Interest: Orthopaedic/Sports, post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, orthopedic injuries, return to sport testing, athletic event coverage 

Therapeutic Interest: Manual therapy, Arm care and preventive programs for overhead athletes, ACL injury prevention programs, sports outreach coverage 

Credentials: Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist, Functional Dry Needling, Integrative Dry Needling, Blood Flow Restriction, RockBlades IASTM technique, Active Release Technique.

Chad Gosselin, PT, DPT, CKTP

Chad is a native of Flowood, MS and attended East Central Community College to play baseball before graduating from Mississippi State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Chad then earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Tennessee State University in 2013. Chad enjoys spending time with his son, Grey, and cheering on his Mississippi State Bulldogs with his friends and family! 

Clinical Experience/Interest: Orthopaedic/Sports, post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, orthopedic injuries, return to sport testing for higher level and recreational athletes. 

Therapeutic Interest: Multiple soft tissue/manual therapy techniques, rehab programs and return to sport programs for operative and non-operative athletic injuries, and injury-prevention programs such as maintenance/arm care for overhead athletes and ACL prevention programs.

Credentials: ART (UE/LE), Level 4 Kinesiotape practitioner, Graston Technique, MFR I, Functional/Integrative Dry Needling certified, BFR training

Will Bacon, pt, dpt

Will is a native of Baton Rouge and attended Parkview Baptist. After high school he earned an Associate's Degree from LSU-Eunice, while also leading them to a National Championship in 2012 as a member of the baseball team. Will then went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He also continued his baseball career with the Ragin' Cajuns and was a part of the 2015 Regional Championship team. After finishing his baseball career, he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of St. Augustine in Austin, Texas. Will enjoys spending time with his wife, Tori, spending time outdoors, and playing golf.

Therapeutic Interest: Manual Therapy including Dry Needling and IASTM, Arm care and preventative programs for overhead athletes
