Ryan is a partner with Traction Sports Performance and the Director of Football Operations. He is the founder of the nationally recognized “DB Precision,” program being home to some of the best collegiate and professional defensive backs in the country. Ryan is from New Orleans, LA, where he attended Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero, LA. He earned All-State, All-District, was a blue chip defensive back & and a state championship finalist in 5A Football during his time there. Ryan was an elite defensive back during his time at Archbishop Shaw. He then went on to sign with The Louisiana State University where he lettered for 4 years for the Tigers. During his freshman stint, he was the Special Teams player of the year as he started off his electric career with a bang. He then went on to lead LSU in tackles his sophomore season and was third in the SEC in tackles. His junior and senior seasons were phenomenal as he earned All-SEC honors and saw himself on the Jim Thorpe award list as well as starting a consecutive 36 games for the tigers. Following his career with LSU, Ryan went on to sign a deal with the New York Giants as a safety. Ryan enjoyed a prolific 13-year career in the NFL as one of the best defensive backs in the league. He appeared in two super bowls and was a Super Bowl XLIII champion and made the Pro Bowl team in 2011. He played among a defensive unit that was known as one of the best that the NFL has ever seen alongside greats such as Troy Polamalu and James Harrison. Ryan also was awarded the Ed Block Courage Award in 2008 for his strength, determination, & resilience following his off the field medical issues, which almost derailed his career. Ryan is now one of the premier defensive back specialist and training experts in the country. He specializes in on field development and strength & conditioning as he implements elite level strength training to some of the nations’ top athletes. He brings a plethora of knowledge and experience to the Traction Sports Performance organization.
